Wonder Woman is an American superhero film, released 2 June 2017 (USA), directed by Patty Jenkins and is based on characters from the DC comics created by William Moulton Marston and H.G. Peter.

Diana / Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) rescues American pilot, Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) when he crash lands on her home of Themyscira and sets off to prevent World War I from happening, which she believes her enemy, Ares (David Thewlis) is involved in starting. Other characters in the film include; Antiope (Robin Wright), Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen), General Erich Ludendorff (Danny Huston), Etta Candy (Lucy Davis) and Isabel Maru/Doctor Poison (Elena Anaya).

The film picked up 20 awards including; a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble, Saturn Award for Best Actress (Gal Gadot), MTV Movie Award for Best Fight and Empire Award for Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movie.
