Willie Carson is a Scottish retired jockey. He was born on 16 November 1942 in Stirling, Scotland.

He is a very successful and well-known horse jockey and has won many different events across the country, namely being a British Champion Jockey five times, 17 British Classic Races and many other events in the UK, Ireland, France, Italy and Germany. He also made appearances on television, as a team captain for the British quiz show, A Question of Sport (1982-83), co-presented the horse racing on BBC1 and in the eleventh series of reality show, I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.

Achievements:

• Received an OBE for his services to horse racing (1983)

• Received an honorary doctorate by the University of Chesterfield
