Tom Cruise is an American actor and film-maker. He was born on 3 July 1962 in Syracuse, New York, USA.

At the age of 19, Cruise would start his foray into the film industry with the film Endless Love (1981). Since then, he has starred in numerous films, becoming very well known in the late 80s, specifically in the popular action film, Top Gun as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell. He would continue his success in the 90s and the 2000s including, Interview with the Vampire (1994), Magnolia (1999), Minority Report (2002) and War of the Worlds (2008).
