Tim Brooke-Taylor is a British comedian and actor. He was born on 17 July 1940 in Buxton, Derbyshire, England.
He became publicly known when he joined the BBC radio show, I’m Sorry, I’ll Read That Again (1964-73) and has gone on to appear in radio, film and television projects throughout his career. He was best known for being one of the main members in The Goodies (1970-82), a comedy sketch television series, alongside Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie, providing various voices and narration on animated series, Bananaman (1983-88) and as Derek Yates in Me and My Girl (1984-88). He has also been the subject on the celebrity biographical series, This Is Your Life (1981), appeared on game shows and pantomime. Some of his other acting work includes:-
