Suicide Squad is an American superhero film, released on 5 August 2016 (USA), directed by David Ayer and is based on the characters from the DC comic, of the same name, created by John Ostrander.

Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) puts together a team of villanous misfits that are imprisoned in a maximum security sanitarium, to use them in dangerous black ops missions. Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) leads the team which includes; Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Captain Bommerang (Jai Courtney), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Katana (Karen Fukuhara) and Slipknot (Adam Beach). Other additional characters in the film are; The Joker (Jared Leto), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne) and a small appearance by Bruce Wayne/Batman (Ben Affleck).

The film picked up 17 awards including; an Oscar for Best Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling, a Blimp Award for Favourite Soundtrack and 2 Teen Choice Awards for Most Anticipated Movie and Choice Movie Actress (Cara Delevingne).
