Stan Bowles is a British retired professional football player. He was born on 24 December 1948 in Collyhurst, Manchester, England.

He was best known for playing the sport at Queens Park Rangers (1972-79), making 315 appearances, scoring 97 goals and is noted as one of their greatest players in history. He has also played for a few clubs over his career, including, Manchester City (1967-70), Nottingham Forest (1979-80) and Leyton Orient (1980-81). He joined the England national team (1974-77), where he made 5 appearances and scored 1 goal.
