Shannen Doherty is an American actress, producer, television director and author. She was born on 12 April 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee, USA.

She had begun her career at a young age, appearing in episodes of television shows, but in 1982 she got herself a role in the popular TV show, Little House on the Prairie as Jenny Wilder. She has since appeared and starred in various television programs and film, most notably, Beverly Hills, 90210 as Brenda Walsh (1990-94 / 2008-09) and in Charmed as Prue Halliwell (1998-2001).
