Serginho is a retired Brazilian professional football player. He was born on 27 June 1971 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

He began his career in football playing for Brazilian club, Itaperuna (1992-93) and continued to play for other clubs in his home country, including Sao Paulo (1996-99), making 58 appearances and scoring 21 goals. He spent the majority of his career at Italian football club, A.C. Milan (1999-2008), making 185 appearances and scoring 18 goals, before retiring from the game completely. He also played for the Brazil national team (1998-2001).
