Ruth Madoc is a Welsh actress and singer. She was born on 16 April 1943 in Norwich, Norfolk, England.

She began her career performing in theatre and has continued to do so over her career, appearing in various roles, including musicals and pantomimes. She made her film debut as Fruma Sarah in Fiddler on the Roof (1971), but her best known roles have been as Gladys Pugh in Hi-de-Hi! (1980-88) and as Mrs. Thomas in the comedy sketch show, Little Britain (2004-05). Some of her other acting work includes:-
