Paul Weller is a British singer, songwriter and musician. He was born on 25 May 1958 in Woking, Surrey, England.
He began his successful music career in 1972 with the punk rock/new wave band, The Jam, throwing out hits like, In The City (1977), The Eton Rifles (1979) and Going Underground (1980) and in 1982, Weller would feel that a change was needed and they would later disband. In 1983, he would form a new group called The Style Council, and would explore different musical styles such as, pop, jazz, soul, house and folk ballads. They had hits including, Speak Like a Child (1983), My Ever Changing Moods and You're the Best Thing (1984), until the late 80s when their popularity declined and they would split in 1989.
