Nicholas Lyndhurst is a British actor. He was born on 20 April 1961 in Hampshire, England.

He made his film debut in a minor role on The Nelson Affair (1973) and has appeared and starred mainly in television programs throughout his career. He is best known for his roles as Adam Parkinson in Butterflies (1978-83), Rodney Trotter in Only Fools and Horses (1981-2003), Ashley Phillips in The Two of Us (1986-90) and as Gary Sparrow in Goodnight Sweetheart (1993-99 / 2016). He even played the role of Freddie Robdal in the television spin-off prequel to Only Fools and Horses, Rock & Chips (2010-11). Some of his other acting work includes:-
