Manu Bennett is a New Zealand-Australian actor. He was born on 10 October 1969 in Rotorua, New Zealand.

He made his television debut as Kirk Barsby in Paradise Beach (1993-94) and has gone on to appear and star in many television and film projects throughout his career. He is best known for his roles as Crixus in Spartacus: War of the Damned (2010-13) and Gods of the Arena (2011), Azog in The Hobbit trilogy (2012-14), Slade Wilson/Deathstroke in Arrow (2013-17) and Allanon in The Shannara Chronicles (2016-17).
