Joe Cole is a British professional football player. He was born on 8 November 1981 in Paddington, London, England.

He began his career with the West Ham United youth club (1990-98) and had continued success with the team in the senior ranks (1998-2003), where he made 126 appearances and scored 10 goals. He then moved on to Chelsea F.C. (2003-10), making 182 appearances and scored 28 goals. He had short stints with Liverpool (2010-13), made a brief return to West Ham (2013-14) and played for Aston Villa (2014-16). He has now headed to America to play for the United Soccer League Club, Tampa Bay Rowdies (2016-), making 50 appearances, scored 16 goals and was also named Player of the Week. He has also played for the England national team (2001-10), making 56 appearances and scored 10 goals.
