Jessica Ennis is a British track and field athlete. She was born on 28 January 1986 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.

She mainly excels in 100 metre hurdles and multi-eventing disciplines and is the current Olympic and heptathlon champion. To this day she holds the British national record for the heptathlon, and former record holder for the 100 metre hurdles, high jump and indoor pentathlon. During her career, she has competed in many different events, including the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, European Championships, winning 8 gold medals overall, one of which was won at the 2012 Olympic Games.
