Billy Boyd is a Scottish actor and singer. He was born on 28 August 1968 in Glasgow, Scotland.

He made his acting debut in an episode of the Scottish-based television series, Taggart in 1996. But his big breakthrough would come in 2001, where he took the role of Pippin in the epic fantasy film, The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and would continue his role in The Two Towers (2002) and The Return of the King (2003). His other acting work includes:-

• Still Game (2002)

• Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003)

• Seed of Chucky (2004)

• Empty (2008)

He is also the vocalist/guitarist for the band, Beecake, since 2006 with friends, Rick Martin and Billy Johnston. Initially, they formed to experiment with writing songs and recording, but enjoyed the experience so much, they continued to make music.
