Ben Whishaw is an English actor, born on 14th October 1980 in Clifton, Bedfordshire, England.

He started out his acting career in theatre and it wasn't until his 2004 role as Hamlet, where critics took note of Whishaw and his potential. He would soon be proclaimed as one of the best young actors of his generation. He would then climb the ladder of success, appearing in other television and film roles such as Layer Cake (2004), Nathan Barley (2005), Perfume (2006), Criminal Justice (2008), Skyfall (2012), Suffragette (2015), The Danish Girl (2015), Spectre (2015) and London Spy (2015).

Amongst his achievements, he has won the British Independent Film Award for Most Promising Newcomer and Sochi International Film Festival Award for Best Actor, for his role in My Brother Tom (2001), International Emmy Award and Royal Television Society Award, both for Best Actor, for his role in Criminal Justice (2008) and a British Academy Television Award for Leading Actor in Richard II (2012).
