Alan Carr is a British comedian and television personality. He was born on 14 June 1976 in Weymouth, Dorset, England.

He is best known for performing stand-up routines on tour, hosting several television shows, including; The Friday Night Project (2006-09) and Chatty Man (2009-16 / 2017). He has appeared in film and television; Nativity (2009), The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water (2015) and Hollyoaks (2018). He has written his own autobiographies; Look Who It Is! (2008) and Alanatomy: The Inside Story (2016). He has picked up many awards throughout his career, including; Best Newcomer of the Year (2001), Best Live Stand-Up (2007), a BAFTA TV Award for Best Entertainment Performance (2013) and a National Television Award for Chat Show Host (2015).
