Adam Woodyatt is a British actor. He was born on 28 June 1968 in Walthamstow, London, England.

He made his acting debut as Shiner in The Baker Street Boys (1983) and as Dave Firkettle in The Witches and the Grinnygog (1983). He is best known for playing the role of Ian Beale in Eastenders (1985-), and is the shows longest-serving actor overall. He is also a photographer and has won the Architectural Photographer of the Year Award (2008). He has also taken part in a special episode for Doctor Who (1993), appeared in pantomime, including Cinderella and Oliver and appeared as a guest on many television shows including, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Strictly Come Dancing and The Weakest Link.
