David Luiz is a Brazilian football player. He was born on 22 April 1987 in Diadema, Brazil.

He began playing for the Sao Paulo youth team (1999-2001), before moving on to Vitória, firstly the youth team (2001-05) and then carried on with them professionally (2006-07). He joined London based club, Chelsea (2011-14), making 81 appearances, scoring 6 goals and took part in winning the UEFA Champions League and in 2016 he would return to play for the team. He also plays for the Brazil national team (2010-) making 56 appearances, scoring 3 goals and took part in winning the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup.
